Thanksgiving
Its interesting that Thanksgiving is next week, because i have especially been feeling very ungrateful for what i have. I realize that i want more time to do things i love, and less time for those things that i dont really like and am not particularly good at. Which is what everybody wants... but it just feels like everyone else succeeds, while i fail. I wish that i were more creative, more stylish, have more money, live in a better place (one that im not embarrassed about when people come over), and i wish i was a better cook. I wish i was more assertive, a better friend, and smarter when it comes to school. I get these feelings every so often and it makes me feel like a... well.... something. I cant say frump because that is not all encompassing, but i dont know what word to use. Im trying harder to not feel so down... So for this next week i will not think about the bad and focus on the good. My life is not as bad as i make it out to be. I hope that Thanksgiving goes well for everyone.

I almost didnt survive Halloween
So, to begin the day I dropped off Lauren at work at 9am. On the way back home I was driving down University Ave. I was driving about 35mph. I was in the right lane and I saw a guy coming out of the glenwood apartments driveway. Knowing I had the right of way I kept going naturally. 10 feet before I passed him, he decided to gun it out of the lot. This gave me no time to get out of the way or stop. So, I slammed on the brakes and swerved to the left. Before I knew it we crashed and the airbags went off. Well it wasn't my fault, so the other guys insurance is paying for it. I am fine, except for a finger that hurts really bad and my neck hurts a little bit. All this happened on the 10 year anniversary of breaking my collar bone on Halloween '99.
Both Airbags went off and the Emergency lights button popped off as well as the GPS screen.
All the tubes and wires were severed and the tire got a flat
A wonderfully shattered windshield
That used to be the front right corner of the car.
It doesn't look good
She died young.

2 Months!
Happy Anniversary to us! Its been two months today. To celebrate we decided to go on a walk. We ended up a couple places. We stopped by the park by our house for a couple minutes, then we walked to the duck pond on byu campus.
It was the first time either of us had been there. We took a few pictures to commemorate, and find out all the cool things we can do with our camera phones. :)
Just to be cheesy for a minute, im really happy that i am married to david and i cant imagine a day without him or his goofiness.
Im not really sure what david was trying to do with these pictures, but all i know is that the background is more in focus than we are. But its just us chillin by the pond.
The whole reason we were drawn to the duck pond was as we were walking we heard the ducks quacking, now to us this sounded like laughing. So every time they quacked, we chuckled. The only thing for us to do was record it. Now as you know, you cant make an animal do anything, so there is a little bit of waiting for some quacking. If at first you dont think they are laughing, watch it again. You'll hear it.
After the duck pond we walked around provo a little more, went on campus for a drink of water and then headed back towards our place. As we were heading home david picked a flower for me, it was orange, and put it in my hair and gave me another one to hold. Then we stopped by ben and vanessa's, we happened to walk right on their street, so of course we had to say hi. I felt bad cuz we actually woke them up from their sunday nap... pj's and all, but of course they talked for a minute. They even gave us food, mostly stuff they wouldnt eat, but its great for us! We were even invited for dinner, but we didnt want to impose. So i gave them a flower, and then we continued on our way home.
David is such a cutie; after we left the henry's, i saw a tree with pretty leaves, so i picked one. (I get really excited about things like that. You know, fall, pumpkins, crunchy leaves, pretty flowers...) But when david found out that i like to pick pretty leaves, he stopped at every tree to get some. All sizes too! By the time we got home we had tons!! Im excited im going to make an edible wreath with them.
Its gonna be great. Im gonna paint chocolate on each of the leaves, and wait for it to harden, then peel the chocolate off, and place them on cupcakes in the shape of a wreath. It will be so yummy. Im excited.
After we got home david made mixed berry smoothies, he is definitely a pro.
Now were just settling in for a movie- yet to be chosen. Today has been great! Hope everyone else has had a wonderful sunday.

Bad Timing.
So i wish i were one of those people that could keep up with a blog and all, but im not. There just arent that many people that pay attention to our blog; I guess you could say that we aren't huge contributors to the "blog world." Oh well. While we are on the subject, david and i are doing fine, a bit under the weather, but fine. Oh yeah, and school blows. We both have a few tests this week, so into study mode we go. Next time i have a minute to breath ill make another post.
Just a side note, whenever we get our wedding pictures we will put them up.
Happy Halloween!

Honeymoon
Ok, so its been a long time since ive been able to post anything... So i figure i need to make the time if im gonna keep this up. To start out- an apology for the drought of our blog posts. David doesnt write posts, and thats where it all falls to me. Becuase of the wedding, i think ill claim insanity for the 3 months of summer, especially the month july. There were so many things to do, and it was so frustrating feeling like i couldnt stay organized and on top of everything. Anyway. Its all over now, and its not really important to give a play by play, because it was a stressful time and now we've moved on to bigger an better stress. School started and its great. David and i have most of our classes together which is awesome. I love having him there to ask questions. I work at Salon K, and love it so much more than Dallas Roberts. Sorry no pictures today. But maybe we'll have some soon.

So we just started this blog, and it feels a little weird to be honest. Kinda voyeristic. But i am definitely one of those people that go's and reads all my friends blogs. So here goes, for all my voyeristic friends who want to know whats going on in the deep dark places of our minds, i present: OUR BLOG.
Wedding update number one: We are still engaged. :) nothing new there.
Wedding update number one: We are still engaged. :) nothing new there.
Update numer dwa (pronounced, noo-mair d-va, its polish, like my fiance) All the plans are going well, and are almost done. We have about 7 weeks ahead of us, and stress levels for a wedding in my family are at an all time low.
Along with trying to find my bridesmaid dresses that first week, we tried to find a photographer... We were successful in that field. He is amazing... his name is Jimmy Bishop with Gideon Photography, click here for his website, or here for his blog (look under engagements and we were his first post on this blog if you want to see more photos). We were lucky to have gotten our engagements done super early, about 6 weeks ago. Ever since then both of us have been absolutely obsessed with them.
The only thing im worried about is whether my parents house is going to be ready, along with the bridesmaid dresses. After david and i got engaged my parents decided that this was the opportune time to pull out all the carpet in the dining room and on our staircase, and put new real hardwood floors in, none of that laminate stuff... I thought it was a great idea, until i found out they were going to be doing it all themselves. Ahh... home renovators. Do-it-yourselfers... i salute you...except when you have a wedding to host... in your house in two months. *SIGH* Now the bridesmaid dresses come into play because about a week into the engagement i decided to start looking for everything... including bridesmaid dresses. Can i just tell you... the colors of the fashion season are definitely not brown, blue, or green.
So my genius idea was for my mom to make the dresses i envisioned. She, of course, thought it was a great idea. So we bought the fabric, and now its just sitting because my parents are still working on the staircase. So now 7 weeks til the wedding, and neither are completed. Here's to hoping... Stay tuned to find out when it will all be finished... i know i will.

The reason i bring this up is because lately i have been putting them in a scrapbook for the wedding and its been so hard trying to choose which ones to use! I love the little crafty projects though, its fun when David gets involved too. He sits down with me and helps me cut things out and gives his opinion on which pictures go best with which scrapbooking paper. I have my own little Christopher Lloyd (minus being bald, small, and overly opinionated about the need to fill a room with furniture and chotchkies, oh yeah and he isnt gay). I love it. He has adopted all of my hobbies, and loves to go shopping with me. Its perfect!
Its not so fun right now though
